Wait. Does that mean if you have max luck and have say a stage 3 whale, would that mean it would wrap back around to a stage 1 fish when you next evolve?
That's random. If you have evolutions turned on after stage 3 you normally hop onto another branch to start again. Your whale may become on next evolve a fish, bird, pup, cat...
You can either turn off evos once you have what you want or go through branches to unlock species certain scenes (top trees is for birds and water for fishies iirc) and besides, more interaction with your Ryu may give you the visitor perk

I think this is the first time I've reached the third stage of any evolution, mine love to branch switch even when I'm at 5 stars. Hoping to finally get my kitty next evo!

Mine turned into a fish from a big cat...
once a ryu reaches the third stage in a certain branch it will branch hop regardless of luck unless you tell it to not evolve in your settings (uncheck the "allow evolutions" checkbox).If you continue to take good care of your dragon, does anyone know if it will remain as a dragon or it will branch switch?
