caveat: i usually only listen to audiobooks of books i've read before so i can tune in and out without stress, so there might be some perfectly good ones i pass over, but hopefully somebody else likes them and will appreciate the suggestion anyway
i am particularly fond of audiobooks with cool performances, i love full-cast ones, my personal highlights include Neil Gaiman's American Gods/Anansi Boys, Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, and Max Brooks's World War Z (except it's weird and broken up because the original one was woefully abridged)
that said feel free to suggest anything because i'm hoping this will be a benefit to everybody
(also i stg i saw a thread on this a few months ago, but i could only find the one about recording them, so that must be what i was thinking of, but if i'm just missing it, apologies for making a whole new thread)
