Yes! Just got the Alchemy Lab scene and the gold paint my Ryu had two hearts remaining and one poop to scoop. I scooped the poop, then fed him twice and played with him twice!

Edit - also got Chemical Corridor just now I'm missing 5 scenes and 4 paints so far! Slowly getting there

So, I purposely went down half a star, then started unlocking more again raising it back up.

Edit: My unlock was Tiki totem no new paints

Hm I really hope that is just coincidental and raising stars isn't tied to unlock chance, it seems counterintuitive to reward people for letting their star rank drop :o if anything I feel like your unlock chances should go up the longer 5-star streak you have?!

With the unlocks I got, my stars were full.
I cleaned poop anytime I saw. Then when feeding & playing, I alternate between them, even with only 1/2 heart. I jot down what I did last so the next time I come on, I know if I should be doing feed or play. I also noticed the unlocks seemed to happen after filling 5+ full hearts. I should of written down how many hearts for unlocks but didn't, sorry.
Also, have been taking care of other ryu's that I see with poop, and that need love. Also have been alternating on those too. Not sure if that is randomly helping unlock certain scenes.

I stopped getting unlocks until I let the star drop. I didn't get anything for about 2-3 days (I'm really bad at keeping track of time so even that might be wrong.) I'm letting my stars drop on purpose right now to test it again.

unlocked Dot Muncher earlier and no idea how. still going back and forth. Exciting though!

My experience getting the unlocks was the same as @(you need an account to see links). It seems a bit counterintuitive that stars would need to drop? I got mine every 2-12 interactions, if that helps. For a while, I thought I would need to have more hearts to fill, but I also got new scenes twice when I had only 1 heart to fill and 1 scoop.

I got my recent unlocks without my luck dropping below full stars. I think it's just a matter of both unlocks and star-filling happens with more interactions.
