Since you can't feed or play with them, do eggs lose hearts? Or if there are missing hearts, was that from before the ryu turned into an egg?

Eggs do not lose hearts. You do lose hearts after an evo though. Maybe the engery it needs to evolve. But no need to worry about the ryuvirus impacting eggos
