I feel like it looks really rounded on most pets and then with others the colours/art style don't seem to match a lot of the matte bases? IDK

It looks almost too high-def to be on a Neopet? Like the details are really well done (which is great)...I bet I'll see it used really beautifully in a custom and then I'll want one lol.

I think it is a beautiful item. You're spot on with it clashing with how Neopets are with their circa 2007 gradient coloring. It makes me uncomfortable

I bought one before seeing, and deffo have ragrets.



Whoever is doing dresses for them right now doesn't really know how to tweak them per species to emphasize the good points like the old artists did.

You're absolutely right that it's a beautiful item that doesn't pan out in practice. The attention to detail on this one is so loving that it looks terrible on a cell-shaded pet. New #1 worst offender for style clash.
I think it looks the best on a royal girl draik, just because the color palette is so similar it kind of drowns out the detail. Your eyes just kinda glaze over as you go "ah yes, purple."
