My Strange (Neopets) Addiction

I did this too! Back in the early 2000s I planned all my pets' rooms out, made them of all different material/themes to match their personalities. *sobs* It's a lowkey thing I definitely want to revisit in the future, to do up a neohome, when I have my other priorities sorted out.

Im anxious about whats going to happen to neohomes after flash expires. I put so much effort into it, it sucks but they might just retire them entirely.

Sometimes I feed my pets manually. I also built separate rooms in the classic neohome for every neopet. Basically I refuse to let go of 2003..

Lol sorry to post again but I suddenly remembered that I recently checked my classic Neohome (does making a new Neohome clear out your old one?! If so I must avoid), and I had it decked out in free Christmas stuff from the Advent calendar like Y4 or something. I remember being sooo poor as a kid on Neopets, and obvs I have waxed about my love of the Advent Calendar already, but I just LOVED getting those presents so much every day in December. It really takes me back to a better time thinking about it.

i would go to the Auctions and stare dismally at the first page (because the new listings generally end there), refresh, and reminisce about the good old sniping times

I would look forward to it every day after school like no other. Those innocent lil clips and random prezzies were legit the highlight of my day. I would pretend its snowing and drink chocolate milk like a ritual before I collect my presents lol. I still religiously collect them every December even when Im on hiatus

I'm defiantly with you guys on staring at my pets! I will often just stare at their customization just because there is something satisfying about knowing you have it on neopets and not just dti. I will often search the pound for nice pets but most of the time there is just crap. There is something about just refreshing the pound and finding a nice pet that feels great. I will also frequent the PC but never post. I just like to see what is UFT. Most of the time nothing I'm interested in but you never know!

I like looking through items (initially for my gallery but I usually end up just mindlessly browsing), there's so many and some of the art is really nice. I also like opening the lookups for my accounts in different tabs and just staring at my pets and their finished customisations u__u

I have a habit that started as a child with MS paint that I�ve returned to now with Procreate - planning out all my accounts� pets + petpets with images. I�ve got 3 documents right now that�re just copy & pasted neopets images that I look at and fiddle with literally all the time. One is the current state of my accounts (pets� current customizations, petpets, names), one is what I�d do with a 7th pet slot, one is a messy �planning� one with what petpets I�d give various pets I like but don�t have, the names of pets I kind of want to trade for and who I could potentially offer, etc. The amount of time I spend with these open just staring lovingly is.......high

This has become a little less satisfying scale-wise since 2007, like it�s kind of cool to incoporate pets� permanent wearables in what colours I�m matching a petpet to but the old images together are just..
