I agree. in all my years of playing neopets i had a facination with plots but they went downhill after the wraith resurgence.
When I tried to get back into the game legit before just saying eff it, and using an AB. I was really disappointed that the auction house and TP are basically nothing now. But I hadn't played since 2012.

I think the most easily addicting part of Neo for me is the HTML games specifically. Neoquest? Could play it all day. Pyramids? Oh yeah. Something about the simple clicking patterns satisfies me in a way I can't describe, and the RE's that come as a result of it are also a huge bonus.

I just played through NQ II, and it was honestly amazing. NQ II did so many things first before Pokemon. I'm probably going to play NQ I next :9 Gotta look for some guides!
My addictions on neopets is mostly just staring at my pets and how they are dressed. Another thing I love staring at is my gallery. It's full of nc items that I love the most and I have lots of doubles and triples of things. Like I am obsessed with a certain P3 and I have 5 of them. I don't even put them on my pets because I know if I ever removed the petpet, I'd lose my petpetpet....
My biggest addiction:
I am a little obsessed with a certain yellow sponge.
Not so much anymore, but I used to play Meepit Vs Feepit for hours at a time, I don't know if it's because it was the only game I was good at, or I actually enjoyed it...but yeah haha

I agree 100%! That auto-player I built for NeoQuest II was a passion project driven by my unbridled enjoyment of that game! I've collected so much data on it! I'm looking forward to sharing it on a stream one of these days ♥

I'm impressed with all of you who love NQ I/II, I only made it through because I followed extensive guides and was too ill to do much else at the time. I did consider going back to it to upgrade my trophy, but I waited too long.
As for my own weird neopets addiction, have a couple mass collections of single items and at times I bought out almost all available in user shops.
I zoom in on my pets and stroke them with my hand on the screen. I also dress them up differently everyday so they feel fresh ^_~
