My Strange (Neopets) Addiction

I was thinking about some odd things I do on Neopets and figured I should make a thread to see if y'all also have some weird stuff you do.

Some of my weird "addictions": I play Meepit Juice Break almost religiously;; something about it calms me down. I also like to go to my quickref page, max out zooming in my browser and just stare at my favorite pets up close. Last but not least, I enjoy collecting items that I think are funny/cute whenever I randomly see one, which led me to a very large SDB filled with random junk.

What are some weird stuff you do?

I just leave the ncc open on my pc even though I don't trade much and refresh the page a few times every once in a while through the day to see if there's anything interesting uft.

I like browsing my SDB, just looking at the pictures I've accumulated. I like to open up and look at my lookup sometimes, haha. There are two games that I really like that I also can play religiously but I'm still missing gold trophies for them, so that's what I can work on.

I'm sure there's a lot more weird stuff I do that I don't notice lol. When I was a kid I used to love browsing the newest 20 of the trading post just to look at all the different items. That's how I memorized a lot of them. It was exciting to see some item I've never seen before, like new plot prizes or something very rare.

I play Destruct-o-Match on zen mode when I get stuck on something I'm writing. It's genuinely brain-clearing.

Rotating my closet items. I roll in seasonal things and roll out items I use too often to try and make myself work on new customs/use whatever it was I did mental gymnastics to justify splurging on. I try to swap smaller stuff monthly and season items, well, seasonally. There are a few staples that I refuse to boot out of the list, but otherwise its all fair game to get put in the SDB for a while.

Aside from that, GORMBALL. Been playing that game from day one on Neo and just can’t get enough of it. Its something I like to play while having some morning coffee or just casually in another tab while browsing Neo. Idk what it is thats so fun, but it feels great when you get a streak of luck and rack up those larger bonuses.

I'm right there with you - I LOVE staring at my pets. ;_; My proverbial pixel children. My heart just feels fuller afterward, idk.

I also refresh the PC religiously even though it's the same shit 10x over every day lol. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Oh boy yup that's me.

I also open quick ref FREQUENTLY and just stare at my own pets and their customs I've created.

Its kind of like viewing your own stories on Instagram, you know? You just can't help yourself, like what amazing content I put out. *chefs kiss*

I also really enjoy playing Cheat. It just reminds me of being a kid on neo because it was all I would play. It never gets old to me.

Ooh I have favourite games, also! When I was on hiatus during uni, I managed to miss every single plot and now-retired avatar released, but I still would go on to play Cheat, Faerie Bubbles, or Attack of the Gummy Dice in class. I freaking looove these games.

I did this too! Back in the early 2000s I planned all my pets' rooms out, made them of all different material/themes to match their personalities. *sobs* It's a lowkey thing I definitely want to revisit in the future, to do up a neohome, when I have my other priorities sorted out.
