This is not helping when I'm trying to leave and do productive things like sleeping hahah
Maybe sleep is for the weak...maybe the userbar is all that matters

for sure this is all that matters :o sleep is just so overrated

I do not have it yet, and definitely intend to back off when/if I do get it since I don't know how the distribution works and don't want to inadvertently stop someone else from getting it by continuing to spam the thread with my ramblings.

Oh, and Mario did get it, I'm pretty sure. But being at the top means the rest of us have to overtake him (I think). It's not that he's continuing to post a lot, we just have to catch up to where he was. This is all speculation, I know nothing for real

i indeed slowed down with my posting after getting it and even stopped for a while.
Bat did mention that once you have it you can continue posting without it preventing others from getting it/making it harder

this is why i had to put sword/shield down!
there are way too many mechanics now that i just cant understand.

could you elaborate on which mechanics? kinda wonder if this would affect my experience as well :o

I've only ever played one Pok�mon game (I think it was one of the mystery dungeon ones on DS?) but I love seeing all the evolutions! Does anyone have any advice about where to start for someone who has pretty much no idea about the franchise/games?

why not start at the start? i'd say yellow for first gen, crystal for second gen etc.
you could do that via an emulator to keep it budget friendly

if you don't want to invest that much time i'm not sure what the best starting point would be :p

My friends and I drew straws to see who had to get Shield so we could have at least one person for coverage lol

It was actually a lot of fun. We all took the day off from work on Sword/Shield's release day, and everyone had used my Amazon Prime account to order the games so it was a whole event watching the Amazon delivery driver on the app approach my house with our packages. Also super dorky considering every that was a part of this are all in our late twenties/early thirties.



I think most everyone who already has the userbar took off...I'm still over here trying to figure out what else I have to do to try and get it so I can go do some work without distraction

Yes, I'm also eager for that one. I only know of the cake event, but my understanding is there were different ones, so curious what the next one will end up being!

its hard to go from mega-evo to z-moves to dynamax, then combining them into one game. too many "op moves" and new pokemon and such.
theres too many types and moves to remember for me
