Secret Userbars Thread (Unlocking quests!)

Are the Pokemon userbars retired? I just realized I should have gotten a new one for 1500 posts, I think? Or maybe I'm confusing it with 2k posts

I think its tied to rank as well, on the (you need an account to see links) for them it says "** Pikachu is available for the newbie rank, but you'll need to rank up if you want to collect the rest! **"

Maybe its not available until Top CK rank?

I don't think they're retired but yes 1.5k posts should yield you the Kyurem userbar indeed if i checked it correctly.
Perhaps posts in some topics do count towards your total posts but do not count for those userbars?
or they're not rewarded instantly but at a specific time (daily check on people that qualify).

Hmm shouldn't official CK or simply the green CK be enough then? It's not clear from the text.

i actually saw that but interpreted it as: you can unlock the others when you're no longer a newbie. you could always be correct though

For some reason I was never able to collect the Pokemon UBs at first. I contacted Bat, as naturally this is an extremely important issue lol, and then my UBs started appearing though Bat said they didn't do anything o_o Maybe Bat would know?

I don't believe that this is tied to your rank, rather the top-of-the-hour refresh that several of the userbars are calculated at! I'm not sure if there's some that are some that have a daily "check" as well, but it's very possible!

The Pokémon Master userbars are tied to ranks in a sense. Userbars are tied to a mechanic in vBulletin called user groups. vBulletin has a system for automatically awarding user group access to users based on criteria like amount of posts, reputation and/or account age, but there's one additional requirement: your primary user group. Your rank is also your primary user group. In order to qualify to be awarded access to a new user group, we had to map each primary user group (rank) to every other user group that you'd most likely be able to reach within a given set of parameters. If we didn't happen to map an awarded user group to one of the five ranks, then you're effectively disqualified from unlocking that user group's userbar until you rank-up.

TL;DR if you're not unlocking a certain Pokémon Master userbar, then it's restricted by rank.

I didn't understand anything of that I think, but to clarify anything beyond the Venusaur rank (last one that I got) is thus restricted to top ck?

That's correct. Blastoise, Charizard, Latios and Latias, and Suicune all require top clraik or higher to unlock. As do other post-related userbars of similar value.
