'Donald Trump will spend a �few days� at a military hospital after contracting Covid-19, the White House said Friday.

Trump was to depart the White House by helicopter late Friday for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, a White House official said. The official said the visit was precautionary and that Trump would work from the hospital�s presidential suite, which is equipped to allow him to continue his official duties.

Earlier on Friday, the White House said Trump remains �fatigued� and had been given an experimental antibody cocktail for the virus that has killed more than 205,000 Americans and spread to the highest reaches of the US government.'

I honestly don't understand why people are losing their minds over this information. Odds are, you've even contracted covid and you didn't know it. That's how many people are. He probably contracted it before and just wasn't tested. (I mean, considering how lax he's been about social distancing and masks this whole time). So I really doubt it's going to affect him negatively or be worthy of even talking about.

Really all this news has shown is how bitter and hateful people are, gleeful that he's gotten sick. If that's how you feel, you should really take a deep look at yourself and think about if you're living right.

But that's just my two cents.

I'm not inclined to feel sympathy for someone who downplayed this thing so much when there are people I know who are still suffering from the after-effects even after surviving the ordeal, and people who risk their lives every day to heal those still afflicted by it. People who need help to pay for rent, tuition, groceries, and medical bills but can't get jack shit after this dude drops the equivalent of pocket change into their hands.

I don't consider myself bitter, but if being unwilling to feel sorry for some underhanded has-been of a businessman makes me that, then perhaps I really am. If there is a God, I hope they show Trump the same kindness he's shown others in the past.

If anything, I feel sympathy for his kids but not the man himself. I can't bring myself to tolerate the intolerant.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions! You're a very good person for taking the high road. I'm glad for people like you, because positivity is important. (I'm not being sarcastic or facetious here, this is a genuine statement.)

Me, in this instance, I'll be on the low road, where I feel he's just reaping roughly 1 micron of the karma he deserves for the terrible things he's done.

I don't need to self-examine at all. Not where this person is concerned.

I�m generally not one to wish ill on anyone, including people I dislike and disagree with, but the wider danger he poses makes him an exception. The narrative in which he has it, happens to be one of the lighter symptom cases, and recovers will only fuel his supporters� recklessness and the overall belief that�s weirdly prevalent in America that the whole thing is a hoax. This is a very real danger (and honestly makes me less than stoked about the diagnosis - unless he starts declining suddenly we�re looking at a sea of �Covid isn�t that bad! The president is in his 70s and he�s fine!� headlines and even more resistance to precautions). If he recovers, others will die as a direct result.

Beyond that, this isn�t just a person anymore, not even just a politician. He just confirmed his place at the head of a violent white supremacist movement. When given the space to denounce white supremacy and directly fed the words he should use (because he asked), he refused. When asked to tell the proud boys - a fascist group that actively brags about their violence - to stand down, he instead told them to stand by, literally speaking as their figurehead and leader. He�s threatened to ignore the results of the election if it isn�t in his favour, and has the proud boys ready and waiting to riot if so. He is an extremely, extremely dangerous man, and not even just for the reasons I�d have given 4 years ago! This now goes past my initial fears about LGBT rights, women�s rights, and the general leftist ideology that�s important to me. He is not being subtle about moves toward dictatorship and race war, and if he were dead it would genuinely be better for the world. That said, if he were assassinated or something those hate groups would treat him as a martyr and probably still continue rising in his name. If he dies of a virus he�s actively lied about and mocked though his power might fizzle out with him.

I also find it hard to feel sorry for him after what he said about war veterans, POW's, and those that died during their service. "Losers and suckers," as multiple sources of information reported.

That's just... really childish and hard to believe that a grown adult would say something like that.
