Also- could anyone tell me how to add a profile picture? I try to click on the empty one and nothing happens.

Head over to 'Settings' and hit 'Edit Profile Picture' and 'Avatar' on the left-hand menu, you can upload your own or attach via URL :] The profile pic will display on your profile, and the avatar everywhere around the forums

To change your profile picture or avatar, go to Settings (top right) and choose "Edit Profile Picture" or "Edit Avatar" (they are two separate things) in the sidebar on the right.
