I think that I love that there's no real guidance on what makes you enjoy the game.. So some people enjoy collecting things, others dressing their pets, others making stories.. I love making stories and have developed so much my neopets that i just can't think about letting them go hahaha....

Honestly, as much as I bitch about the game, I could never really give it up. Despite the issues and shitty management, there are quite a few interesting things to do on the site. It also really encourages creativity. I've had an 'artists block' the moment I graduated from High School. Neopets managed to rekindle my artistic passion, in both writing and drawing. I'll likely stay on this website till it goes under, let's be real.

There's always a new goal for me to accomplish. I've recently started spending more time upping my avatar account, but a lot of the time there's always new pets that I want (slot limit be damned), new items I want to use in a custom/for a pet, new events (even if they're tiny or failures) to look forward to.

My pets and staring at them multiple times a day. Other than that drawing for the BC and letting scripts handle the rest (bless the scripts).

I never told anyone in my family that I play Neo, but my mom caught me off guard the other day and insisted on me showing her what this game was about. She thought the pets were pretty and the Baby Dolphin/Flotsam was so cute.

Seasonal outfits/customizations! A good while ago my goto was hanging out on the NCC trading and working on customs for my pets to where they all had an outfit for each season/holiday. So I really enjoy getting to make sure they are all dressed up for whatever is going on that time of year. That keeps me going back on to check what new items come out every now and then in case something might be worth trading for.

That and getting to play Spacerocked! That song just slaps.

The only thing keeps me going is that now I have enough NPs to buy my dream BD set. But it was all thanks to AB programs. Haha. I'm just trying to make sure i can hit the billion mark so I dont really have to worry how to spend the NPs.

Haha like most people, for me its the nostalgia of it all. I stopped playing a few years ago after my main got iced then found myself playing games that I used to play like Diablo 2, Dungeon Keeper and Heroes of Might and Magic 3 when my daughter was born. Then I thought to myself, I should make her a neopets account, she might like it when she's older and here I am again
