Need some help with cheat engine!

Hey everyone! loving the cheating scene so far, my neolife has improved 10 fold :-)

Ive been using cheat engine to get game avatara, but have consistently been running into a problem where some games addresses dont show, as in the left side of cheat engine comes up blank after scanning.

does anyone know why this could be?
It will work for some games but not others. im stumped.

Do you have an example of games that don't work? I believe that none of the shockwave games (ie. Dice Escape) work with cheat engine.

Yes, i started to compile a list of those that didnt work but quickly realized those outnumbered the ones that did, lol.

You're probably opening the wrong processes. Make sure to try all the ones you can!

For example, I'm in Chrome. This is what I do.

1) Open the game and wait for it to load completely
2) Open the processes window on Cheat Engine, and select the process from bottom to top. It's usually the last one
3) If that one doesn't work, keep going from bottom to top until you find the correct one

Ive been doing that- unfortunately no chrome processes yield results

is there a way it isnt a chrome process? my hand hurts from all the clicking lmao

I'm on a hurry right now, so I can't test it myself, but maybe try Windows instead of Process?

On the same section where you look up for processes. You see Applications, Processes and Windows.

I just tried using an AOB code using CE 6.7 and it worked.

Make sure you selected "Array of bytes", copied the right code in its entirety, and that you try all the chrome.exe processes that you see.

In order to use Cheat Engine in Chrome, you have to select the right process
How do you know which one is the right process?
Open Chrome Settings (three dots in the top right corner) -> More Tools -> Task Manager
Search for Plug-in Flash and check the Process ID.
Mine is 11464


go to this website:
(you need an account to see links)
and convert your process ID to hexadecimal. 11464 = 2CC8

Now open Cheat Engine and find your process ID:

Ive been following those steps, Attack!

Its gotta be something on my end if everyone else is able to get it working.. but what

edit: so, i just tried again with extreme potato counter as a test. I was able to get the addresses to come up with the correct process- but the game was unaffected when i tried it out. I refreshed and re-did the scan, again no addresses. why does this software hate me?
