Game Character Design Survey

In today's news, TNT have posted a survey based around Character Design. It appears to be gathering feedback on potential ideas for a new Bejewelled-style game (like Sutek's Tomb or the recently retired Ghoul Catchers).

Although there are other questions, the meat of the survey is giving your feedback on which style of Petpet you prefer:

My 2 cents, why are they making another Ghoul Catchers clone when it clearly flopped?

I'd prefer it if they actually looked like the petpets. What a strange survey though- I don't think Ghoul Catchers failed because of the art, but because it was buggy and terribly slow and overall not the most interesting.

Really don't like any of them. If I had to pick one it'd be second (not a big fan of the bedroom eyes on the angelpuss and hassee on the first), but on all of them is kind of hard to tell what petpets these are supposed to be? Buzzer and Cyrodrake are obvious even if the latter has two eyes on the second one for some reason but no clue what the bottom left one is.

All kinda ugly imo.

It's definitely another mobile app it seems. If anything the middle art style is kinda cute? Also I assume they're outsourcing it but who knows. Fix the damn site TNT!!

It's nice they want to at least appear to care about user feedback.

It's less nice that the actual user feedback (Fix The Site. Stop Being Dickbags about Tickets. Etc.) doesn't matter to them.

Sorry for being super nasty, I just get a bad taste in my mouth with mobile games. Never liked them, always found them to be super scummy in practice.

Never has any company ever asked for THIS MUCH feedback and literally ignored everything that users are saying.

This is just a Ghoul Catchers 2.0... The original was just removed from app stores.

TNT had such a boner for the Mobile-Friendly beta, and as far as I'm aware, there hasn't been any updates in a few months...

Without having actual insider knowledge, I'm convinced that they are struggling to convert what exists.



One of the big complaints of the Mobile-Friendly beta was that it looked to juvenile.

This screenshot of character design looks even MORE juvenile. The reason people play Neopets nowadays is nostalgia. Why redesign the petpets at all? Why not just keep them the same...
