    Life Improvement Purchases

What is something you've bought for yourself that has improved your life in some way?

For me, it was a robot vacuum. I did a larger purchase for a Neato D-8.
My house smells better, I don't have to vacuum practically ever (unless I make my own mess, like dropping a plant on the carpet) and my carpets are nice looking. Allergies are a little bit better because this sucks up everything, especially the dog hair.
It's one less thing I have to worry about in my off/free time.

What would be something YOU have bought for yourself that has helped you in your life?
Big or small, I want to know them all~

As silly as this sounds ... I can't bring myself to buy a robot vacuum at the moment. I want my house to be worthy of a little robot friend. I'll settle for pushing a vacuum around in the mean time!

Would a bike be considered a life improvement? I bought one about a month ago, and have been riding it once every morning. It was difficult at first, but now I'm zooming around my neighborhood like nobody's business. I'm feeling more energized and better able to deal with whatever the day throws at me. I feel more productive, and I owe it to a bit of physical fitness!

A bike is absolutely a life improvement!
Any advice on bringing yourself to actually get up and do it, or was it the purchase that encouraged you to actually ride?
Like "I'm not going to waste this money I spent on a bike by not riding it!" or~?

I'd love to own a robot vacuum, with cats and living in the countryside is a bit inconvenient for my floors, so i think that will be a next present for my home, maybe next year...

I bought a pellet stove, one of those you can give a program. Pellet is way more eco and cheaper than fire/brush wood, gas and electrical; and the fact that i can give it a program to auto start is a huge improvment, as i can get to an already heated home after a working day! Just for you to imagine the cold, we woke up today to frozen pipes in many places around the city, and we live some metters above, so it's hell colder here hahaha

My next step is a heater blanket so my feet can be warm hahahha

I also think a bicicle is a huge improvement, it will help you stay healthy and is the most ecofriendly transport ^^! Keep track of the habit and in o time you'll find yourself doing it as waking up every morning!

I'm all about planning and a few years ago I developed the habit to write down everything I need to do/every cost I have/schedules on a planner. It changed my life! From then, every year I buy a yearly planner book to help me be organized. I can't just make an appointment without writing there or buy something without writing how much I spent on the day. I can't even finish the month without calculating the bills and writing the costs/profits I had. If you ask me what I did/how much I spent/profited on any day of the year, I have the info written. It helps me a loooot to put my life in order! If lose my planner I would be completely lost, so I always keep it safe on my desk.

This is basically how I use my planner for:

In the first page of the month, there's a general vision of the days. I use it for schedules/appointments. It's the monthly page:

So I write something like this: Day 3 - dentist at 3 pm.
When I'm on my period, I also draw little stars/hearts with a red pen on the days.

On the weekly pages, where I can write the detais, I don't use for schedules, but I'd rather to write things like this:
    "day 3 - I bought a dress at X store for $30."
    "day 4 - I sold a shirt for $5"
    "day 7 - I received $50 at work."
So I use it mostly for my expenses. But I also write if I start something unusual, for example: I start using a medicine on day 4. So if I have some collateral reactions, I would check the day I started to see if it was only a coincidence or not.

I also like to write special events, like: Day 4 - got approved on a very important test!

And, on the last page of every month, there's a very detailed list I make with all the money I spent/received/donated and how much I profit in general. I always make sure to be in the black

My instant pot and air fryer have been game-changers and major time-savers in the kitchen. You end up using less oil and it saves you on calories too.

In terms of organization and note-taking for school, getting an iPad air and downloading several apps have saved me a lot of time, and makes it easier for me to study.

It's nothing major, but I'm obsessed with my electric cornscrew wine bottle opener. I think I paid $15-20 5+ years ago and it hasn't failed me yet. Even better, I usually only charge it 2-3 times a year. I'm not a huge wine drinker, but I'll grab a bottle about once a week.

Speaking of charging, rechargeable AA and AAA batteries are great too. Battery prices keep going up, but I've had this same set for years now and they're still going strong.
