Cranking music I downloaded on my headphones and olaying shit like digimon sponsor game after school. Poogle solitaire, I memorized the best order to play and got so many magic plushies, they only sold for like 10k then. Shoulda kept some of those ffs.

The Bonju reminder thread reminded me of the crazy site-wide speculation every time a new avatar or plot point was released. That one specifically I remember after the editorial hint came out and finally everyone knew it was a cooking pot thing, just scrambling to find the right combination of stuff. It’s still really cool to think about how they could make up such NONSENSE parameters and have thousands of people puzzle it out. Really cool energy to be a part of.

Otherwise my favourite activity was petpet matching, I’d spend hours copy & pasting neopets images into MS paint, deciding on accounts full of pets I’d never be able to afford and what petpets they’d get. 2007 took a lot of the magic away from that, with the end of new poses / creative art, but it’s been one of my favourite things to get back into and I now have a procreate doc full of pictures of pets I now CAN afford & what petpets they have or will get. (Also I still like finding matches enough that I (you need an account to see links), hmu if you want ideas)

I never really broke into the RP community - I was too young and shy and awkward, and then by the time I was a little older & finally did make friends onsite it was all about customizing pets. But as a little kid I remember being in AWE of the uni RPers and their art.

ANYWAY I just like, love this site even though it’s all broken and dumb now.
