userscript tutorial request

If no one steps forward here, you could find a script out in the wild and ask ChatGPT to do so instead. Explain what the script does and tell it you'd like to learn how to write code to do similar tasks/projects and go from there!

I can try to look into these, not promise to be fast because real life but I could cover some basics of JS and Neopets, and very sure I will reach out to some to our star programmers for their favorite tips

If anyone would like to collaborate with me on this that would be awesome too!

Also since we already have an open thread it would be useful if anyone can share here the most common doubts you have about userscripts so I could have some sort of scheme to work with

Not sure how much it would involve but i was thinking:
- Script injectors
- Javascript basics (selectors, clicks, fetch requests?)
- Creating new page elements
- Wait times between actions

And maaaaybe a tutorial? like "make your first script" where it explains step by step how to do something simple, not sure what though.

A step by step was definitely sth on my mind too! Though probably would be a side-guide linked to the main one (you know I had this idea about showing your birthday neopets dates because I always forget about them lol That could work for an easy to follow script).

Good luck! Im also always trying to learn. I didnt know about this community and had made a few scripts, than later, when I ended up joining here... I found that they were already made -similar or better- by someone else .
But if you have any idea, would be awesome to read them!
