I didn't even know it was a possibility, I'll look for it!
Recently I messaged TNT suggesting an app inspired by board games, cuz I wish there was a game we could play online with friends in real time...
With our country in lockdown our board game group has had 2 online board game nights. We play the game online together while chatting on zzoom

My friends and I were looking for activities such as that, but the only online games we know are a site where we write down words starting with a certain letter and another one where we draw and other people have to guess (stopots and gartic, both in portuguese). I'll suggest these games to them, hope they'll be into it ^^
My coworkers have been playing Dominion a bunch online during our weekly boardgame nights!
Personally I've just been playing a bunch more dnd haha.
We buy these games - we play them as a app. Available on google play, apple app store and some are available on steam as well.
You can look here (you need an account to see links)
They not free but they pretty cheap.

There's an app called "PLATO" that has several online board games. With my friends we played A LOT during the first weeks of quarantine there.
It can be downloaded from the google play store and it's free!
Kind of! My friends and I play Jackbox games on Steam every other weekend. Between us we have pretty much all of the party packs, many of them have really cool board games There's a bunch of other stuff included too! Trivias, puzzles, combat games, drawing games, murder mysteries, rap battles... I highly recommend checking them out! The party packs are about 25USD, but as long as one player has the pack - everyone can play. You can also sync the games to mobile (via a link, no need to install anything), making these perfect for both online and local play. Big fan XD
Before we discovered Jackbox, we played online variants of Memoir '44 and two Alice in Wonderland games (Parade and some other one I don't recall). Okay games but the player count was too limited for us, so it was pretty dull
