I just miss good plots in general.. Had the best time with Lost Desert and I feel like I didn't really appreciate it as I was new and didn't know what plots would end up turning into..
The last plot I took part in before going on hiatus was The Faeries' Ruin and I remembered it being pretty fun. Btw, do they still release a yearly plot or does it just happen more sporadically now?

They haven't fixed the BD yet, right?
I wish they could do something like the Subeta Dome, that's so funny.
I miss unique site events in general. The site has been pretty boring...

IMO the best part of neopets is the battledome, they had "plans" to fix it not never actually followed thru fixing it ...
Curse of Maraqua was the last "true" BD plot/war. Unfortunately that started when I first played neopets so I barely participated.
I saw someone on the boards the other day talking about getting AC instead of CC, and they were like "yeah, it would be crazy to have all these things right after another tho - so we should be happy!!" and like... isn't that the whole point? If they didn't have this battalion of people who're gonna play no matter what, there's no way this would be a viable content strategy. I feel like typically producing internet content you want it to always be new and exciting, to motivate people to have to log in everyday or miss out.
Especially if they're talking about reaching a younger demographic, I feel like the internet has changed a lot since we were using it as kids. For those of us who were playing in the noughties, the internet was wayyy less instant, and there was less out there, so waiting for stuff was normal. Using the computer was kind of an event, and the novelty factor of a really immersive experience was brand new. Now, most online content is kind of a neverending stream - there's so much to look at you could spend your whole life scrolling and always have something fresh. For kids who have instagram and youtube and tiktok just churning out this constant stimulus - the idea of waiting months between new things would seem insane, and if you don't have this ride or die connection, why wouldn't they wander off to some other site that's actually engaging its audience?
Battledome plots used to be what attracted most of the crowds in Neopets. So much that it lagged the whole server.
I've never taken part in a BD plot, so I can't say I miss it, exactly. But I wish I had.
