Does having a screenshot page make you look legit or suspicious? Also, do any of you chat on the TC?

Hi again, everyone!
I've come to really enjoy it here, so I have another question.

I'm wondering if you guys think having a screenshot page makes you look more or less legit?
I always have Stealth take Screenshots, Incase I want to make a page with them. Ive looked at a lot of really cool "portfolios" and they look really fun to manage.

What are your thoughts on both of these things?
I occasionally chat on the Neoboards, but I never post selling threads and If I post on the RS chat its never of me restocking anything. Sometimes I just need to be social, or I'll lose interest. lol.

Well, I think it depends.
I think you obviously want to take a screenshot of a highly vauable item you manage to buy and brag about it and that's normal.
But if your acount is almost new and you don't have a lot of work put on (avatars, trophies, site themes, stamps, etc...) I'm going to think you're cheating.

Consider this ... if you lie to people about how you're obtaining items, scores and so on, then are you prepared to lie indefinitely? Can you maintain the illusion of being legitimate, or is it easier to keep quiet about cheating? If you contradict yourself, get caught lying, can't demonstrate your methods, or otherwise slip up in any way, then you're as good as frozen. Why would you want that kind of pressure?

I just wanna say If you're gonna take screenshots make sure you don't have cheating websites visible in your bookmarks bar. I forgot to crop a few images and a Neofriend mailed me and let me know before anything happened. :p

But back in the day when I had a screenie page, I did have a few of really expensive things I restocked and a few UCs I came across in the pound, and people never batted an eye when I had things up on the TP or had really nice pets (items and pets that I bought of course).

Edit: Kinda wanted to add that it seems like a lot of Neo players are more suspicious of those cheating nowadays, and it only takes one vindictive, jealous asshole to ruin it. Just be careful out there!

Depends. It's gonna look super sketchy on an account that's newer or otherwise doesn't look very 'worn'. But if it's an old, established account, it won't look too sketchy unless you're constantly getting incredible buys. That'll both make people suspicious, and envious (and it's not good to risk having a ton of jealous people report you if you actually ARE autobuying).
As for TC I take a peek sometimes. I don't really post there though, I spend all my time in newbies

The neopets players are toxic, if you beat them buying and comment your purchase on the forums, they're going to report you (with screens or not). Losing a haggle hurts them

I'm of the opinion that the less attention you bring to yourself the better, so I'd never do it especially if you are indeed autobuying...

If you enjoy your nice things, don't do it.

I've learned you're able to cheat indefinitely, the less of a "footprint" you have on neo. That means don't post on boards, don't turn into your guild's #1 poster, don't do anything flashy really. And a screenshot page is flashy.
