So Mother's Day is coming up guys...

This year Mother's Day is going to be a bit different to last year's thanks to Covid-19. I normally take my mother to get her hair cut and recolored but this time I'll have to wait for later when things are better. So my question is what are you going to do for your mother on Mother's Day?

My family usually doesn't celebrate these kinds of days much. (Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries etc)
So it's never been a habit of mine to make any of these days a big thing.

Please provide some suggestions that i can do to start small! I don't think my parents want much for such days too.

In UK Mother's Day is 3 weeks before Easter. As children don't live at home I got a basket of flowers delivered from florist. They were narcissus and snowdrops not available now. You can get many different sizes of baskets and if they are bulbs they can be planted in a garden once finished flowering.

I'll go for traditional-simple-child like gifts for grandma and mom: a simple, but yet beatutiful greeting card, with a sincere message and a handmade cake, with some cute decorations.
(I'm not much of a cooking person either)
    Crossing my fingers, tho.
My mom is kind of picky when it comes to gifts...

When you're falling in a forest
    and there's nobody around
    Do you ever really crash,
    Or even make a sound?

Did I even make a sound?
Did I even make a sound?
It's like I never really sound.
Will I ever make a sound?

Oof thank you for the reminder.

My mom is self quarantine since she is extremely high risk for covid. We don't really celebrate much but I'm gonna go get her a few weeks worth of groceries, dog food, just normal supplies that she'll get use out of. Maybe a couple plants for the house too.

We usually go out to eat, but even that's risking exposure so I just bought some jewelry online.

Already celebrated Mother's Day but usually we celebrate both the US and UK ones but normally Mum only gets a gift and card on one of them, can't afford to give her twice so usually try to treat her to dinner for the US one but due to lockdown, the choices of meals is very limited which is going to be strange since my birthday is also coming up as well. Usually we try not to cook on our birthdays but it is what it is.

I tend to do extra chores around the house before mum wakes up. If she remembers that Mother's Day is coming up she'll usually stop cleaning around the house and kitchen because she knows I'll take care of it lol

@ hairlessly If your momma likes gardening as I do, it is so awesome to get a flower pot for the garden. A bottle of wine with cheese and crackers is always good if she likes wine. A gift card with a nice card is never a miss.

@(you need an account to see links) That is so nice! Flowers are so lovely. <3

@(you need an account to see links) You can't go wrong with brownies lol hope your cake comes out delish!

@(you need an account to see links) That's really nice, getting her necessities is a great gift.

@(you need an account to see links) Online shopping is def a smart decision!

@(you need an account to see links) A nice card is always sweet. Happy early birthday to you!

@(you need an account to see links) lol That's a smart mom, I would too!

Mothers day has already been in the UK

Hard to go out and do anything special in these times. Bake her a cake? Buy her some nice bath bombs?
    Just typical mum stuff
