I tend to prefer older games in general, but COVID has inspired me to check out some of the old school titles I've had in my backlog. I've been really enjoying it.
Yes! I've been playing MapleStory and Ragnarok Online again! I'm enjoying the nostalgic experience since the updated versions don't do it the same for me
It's so weird that I am kinda bored of all games I used to play a lot before: WoW, Harry Potter, Star Wars and other similar ones.
I want to play and I want to have fun but then I start playing and want to turn it off...
Huh.. I thought I was the only one who is doing that. Though, part of it is cause I am finished school and don't have a fulltime job yet.
PC: MapleStory (I am writing up a private server) and Neopets
PS1: Fatal Fury Wild Ambition, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
GameCube: Super Mario Sunshine
I love old games in general. Last year I played through Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky for a second time and had such a good time.
Lately, I'm really hearing a nostalgic siren song after discovering I can download the first video games I ever played: The Eye of the Beholder trilogy, an old AD&D dungeon crawl that ran on MS-DOS after being installed via like, six floppy discs. I'm trying to finish up Shim Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse and then I swore to a friend I'd finally play The World Ends With You. But after that, it's a return to Darkmoon and I am SO excited.
I almost only play old school games.... There are only a few game series that I bother with the new versions of... Otherwise, I just indulge in old classics, typically through emulators. Nostalgia is sometimes more fun than fancier new games...
For example, I used to be terrified on Doom games as a kid.... (My Dad would play them and I would watch ) Glad to say, after playing them now, they still scare the crap out of me xD Those giant flying tomato monster things.... Wtf! They creep up behind you everywhere
