I've heard that a lot of people are temporarily fostering animals from shelters. I wish I could as well, but my family is not ready for another pet yet, even just temporarily.

I've been relaxing from my former hectic retail job. There's so much unnecessary stress and hardships that workers have to face in retail, like come on. So I've been chilling and trying to finish up some art on my laptop.

We've noticed lots of birds about that I haven't seen in the city in years (like blue jays and red-breasted robins!) and the neighbourhood muskrats are out and about much earlier than we thought! The lack of aeroplanes has also made a huge difference in the air quality in our city, its been amazing.

I can't find a single source with a lot of images, but a San Francisco arts nonprofit is matching artists to businesses to paint murals on the boarded windows. (you need an account to see links). And (you need an account to see links) the project's website.

Mostly a personal thing, but this whole Covid situation has given me and my girlfriend more time to spend together. She got temporarily laid off as a hair stylist for the time being due to the virus, and I'm recovering from an appendectomy, so this situation couldn't have come at a better time for me.

I would love to see the conspiracy theorists gain knowledge and realize it isn't 'Big Gov' trying to control us, and just see that most are trying real hard to stop this pandemic so we can get on with our lives.

In my FB groups, I can see a lot more people shutting down the conspiracies, where once it was laughed at and sort of encouraged.

In reality, I am pretty sure this experience won't change anything.

Even if it's only temporarily, I've seen a lot more people showing compassion to others - especially the frontline healthcare workers who are working tirelessly to keep people safe and retail workers.

I'm not sure what will happen once everything settles down, but for now, it's humbling to see a change.

I hope that people become more mindful or continue to be mindful of their impact, but I imagine once everything returns to normal that it'll fall into how it usually is and we'll all go back to our normal lives.

I have learnt so many new foods to cook.

One thing I hope we learn is how important doctors and nurses are and how not important influencers are.

In my country we couldn't do much online shopping, I think this will change from now on. Other than that, I don't think anything will change...
