Governor here signed an executive order directing non-essential businesses to implement work from home policies by tomorrow and mandates on 75% of the non-essential workforce working from home.
Retail shopping malls, amusement parks and bowling alleys closed at 8pm, 3/18
Apparently the state has done 8,000 tests in the last 24 hours, certainly a lot but not enough.

Personally, my job actually got everything set up really quickly for us so I'm grateful for that. I don't miss my commute at all but I miss my coworkers a little bit

One of the unfortunate things is all these shortages of goods are being created by people.

There is no need to stockpile toilet paper or dry goods, but people started doing it, and now it's just in this endless cycle. Now it's all been bought out, and people are afraid it will get bought out again, so they ensure it gets bought out by over-buying, and thus it never ends.

Even Amazon doesn't have toilet paper or spaghettios.

    Spaghettios guys.

Only one confirmed case in my city, it's the end of winter and we're hoping the satanic heat that will follow is able to keep numbers down

I live in a metro area where there are normally a LOT of police car and fire truck sirens. 6-7 a day, usually.

In the past few (few!) days, I've only heard two...

Governor will sign an executive order mandating that 100% of workforce must stay home, excluding essential services.

This is getting more wild by the day.

It fucking sucks. My job is remaining open as of right now, but our hours are reduced so we are only open 9 hours a day. Unfortunately, that means more than half of us are sitting at home. The managers and full timers are getting priority for shifts. I'll probably be working 1-2 days a week....

Don't even get me started on all the food/hand sanitizer/toilet paper hoarding.

this situation sucks for everyone and mostly for those whose life is at risk. Personally i'm in my 30's so i'm not afraid for myself but i'm concerned about my loved ones. I'm hoping for a cure or a vaccine as soon as possible. I don't feel like playing neopets even.
