How is Neopets these days?

Curious what's changed over the past few years.

Not much to be honest, I came back a few months ago - there are additional pet slots (you can now have 6) and an extra slot is given if you have premium. You also get more pet-pet transfers based on the age of your account. Draiks and Krawks are no longer inflated anymore and anyone can get one pretty cheap. Less people online so makes contests and things like that more achievable.... more avatars? Just a few clickables/easy ones.

And ummm, oh a premium perk has been added that lets you basically change the species and colour of 1 pet every year.

Otherwise, not much. Most of the boards are dead - especially the premium ones - but the NC/PC and a select few others are still alive..ish.

Thanks for the update. I haven't really dipped my toes in for probably 4 years or so since the last time i was unbelievably bored.

What is the current state of making points? Restocking, reselling, sniping? All dead? That was most of what I enjoyed anyway honestly.

Making points is probably easier nowadays as there’s less people online and less competition - plus TNT is skeleton staff now so I think they aren’t really being as strict as they were at risk of losing long time players.

Trading boards are still active and there’s still a lot of restockers present on site - suap was buyable in the hidden tower for a short time so that has deflated to about 100-150m - otherwise I can’t say what else has changed on that end as I’m not really a restocked myself. It’s worth checking out, you never know you may get back into it

I'm in the same boat as you. Just kinda jump in when I'm bored and have extra time. Usually try to pull from storage logs and make the biggest account I can before they ice me lol

Just the usual rehashed annual events like dd, charity corner, etc. No changes or fixes to the bd. There is barely one page on the AH on any given day now. TC is literally the same small group of people buying and reselling off one another. If you randomly come on the TC with a high-end item prepare to be spam reported like this user.

The busiest people on Neopets are prob the support team because a lot of people are trying to recover inactives. Letting go of most of the old TNT staff really speaks volumes and it has shown over the years. There has been little innovation or new content so the player-base has really gone down imo.

I come back to play when im bored for a little bit then stop playing for years and its a cycle. Since going illegit, I have had access to some epic accounts and items but overall the site has lost its appeal for me over the years. Mostly just come back out of boredom and nostalgia.

Thanks for the updates guys. Been a while. Auctions and restocking were all i ever really enjoyed on the legit side, but doesn't sound like much of that anymore unfortunately.

I assume this has hit the paintbrush market hard. Are UCs the only desirable thing you can own on the site anymore?

Hasn't hit it incredibly hard since you can only do it once a year, can't make a draik or krawk either.

However getting NPs is soo easy you can save up for whatever pb you want in a very short time.
