Looking at the websites work, it's like 1% better than their crappy advent calendar animations. Most likely they will reuse the websites flash models to animate lmao

Also worth noting that the animation isn't going to come from Beach House - they're just developing the story and new characters. The animation is coming from Blue Ant’s Canadian studio (and cornishwall linked a great example (you need an account to see links)). It certainly looks like they've got a distinct style, which hopefully means they probably have great storyboarders, artists, and cleaners. Fingers crossed!

I'm pretty excited for this, not gonna lie. Would be cool groundwork for plots that tie in with the TV show.

The article says that Beach House is only creating new stories and characters. A different Blue Ant subsidiary is animating the series. I think it is likely Look Mom! Productions since that is the only Blue Ant Media asset listed as being located in Canada, the location the article listed for animation. They have created this, which I believe has a full season:



Certainly not the highest quality, but definitely better than a final project

Also, it is not confirmed yet since they are still looking for co-producers and a broadcasting platform. They haven't even confirmed the target audience from the sounds of that article.

Honestly, I don't really like it either. It was the first Google result of Look Mom! Productions animation I found. I do think it is a fine example that Blue Ant is capable of an extended and unique-style animation. I don't think the Gary and His Demons style would appeal to 8-12 year olds, and since the article mentioned not having confirmed the style yet, I have hope

Honestly, I can't picture a Zafara and a Kacheek talking about drugs or sex or some shit. Either way, I wish the best for them (and the site), I just hope the show doesn't look like a 20 minutes advent calendar animation.

I've actually never seen the show, it was more so the first "adult" cartoon that popped into my head - I don't know if I can picture that either! My point was something more enjoyable to the users who have been here since the early 2000's as opposed to the paw patrol age group.

It would be wild if Neopets the Animated TV Series became another MLP or Steven Universe.
Big adult fanbases for both of them. With content in them that appeals to a wide audience.

If they go with that kind of content I can see it being successful. People want cartoons to mean a little more and work a little harder these days. Generic cartoon content never does as well unless it's Teen Titans Go but we don't talk about that.
