Coronavirus travels by air, washing your hands and all that shit wont really do much, masks wont do much either, unless it's actually filtering the air.
Love Chinas new jail.....sorry, I mean hospital.
Crazy that in 3 weeks we went from under 150 deaths to over 1000.
Thanks for lying again china, did the same shit with SARS. Smh.

Well, it's finally hit my state - my place of work is taking proper precautions but I rely on public transportation so that's been concerning.

Hand sanitizer / clorox wipes / toilet paper is sold out in LA after the declaration of a state of an emergency here.

Theres 58,000 homeless people in LA. They get it, we're effed.

In the meantime, people need to stop taking cruises. Idk what the appeal is if youre gonna get quarantined with a bunch of people with the virus *eyeroll*

    Stay safe out there everyone.

It's insane. I went to CVS this morning to buy a Snapple and the line was crazy, everyone had some Clorox product in hand.

And 1st reported case in my area this afternoon. They haven't released the exact location but

It's fascinating from a science point of view, I suppose, but now it's close to home, yikes. Amazing how these pathogens travel.

Went to CVS for some meds for my dad a couple of hours ago and it was quiet; but everyone tested in [some state in the midwest] has come up negative, so that's might have an effect.

Forgot my mom and cousin had a trip planned to Italy, though!

I said, "If I were you, I'd use [major university] as a guideline. They've suspended all non-essential travel to the hotzones and Italy's included."

Naturally, she has to consult with our cousin, but I can't imagine Cousin would want to go, either.

As of 4:30pm today a woman in her 50s tested positive in my city, she got the virus from a cruise ship in California.
This is the same cruise that the person that died from CV in California was on.
Wonder when people will actually start taking this shit seriously. Cancel your damn trips!

The UK has had it's first death confirmed, however the patient is said to have had underlying health concerns.

We have had a few cases locally now and a couple of places have been closed for safety precautions. People are starting to panic buy supplies, such as hand sanitizer, toilet rolls, medicines etc. which is a little OTT in my opinion. I might have to do the same though, not through fear of the virus, through fear of being unable to wipe my arse

Hoping that it just blows over like other viruses have in recent years and that the media will get bored of reporting on it.

My university has moved all in-person classes online until next week, but admin staff still has to report to work. Campuses are still open. I understand the precautionary measure but this is becoming a little bleak.

I kind of wish my university would move classes online for a while. Everyone is on spring break and will be coming back from all over the world. And the virus has reached Indiana, which is the state south of mine.
