Yes, this happens frequently I'm afraid. Close the app and restart it. Lots of people have had to shut off their phone and turn it back on again. Sometimes it's a server issue that has problems for an undetermined amount of time :/

I've been trying to get in for over an hour, I've restarted my phone and reinstalled the game multiple times lol Guess I'll be trying some more. Thanks for the info

I want to get a Maraqua Sunken Ship Background from Finest Chest which is available during crossover week according to JN. Is this the only way to get the background? Is it easy to do the challenges and should I play now to upgrade my characters (or equipment?) before the next crossover week?

Unfortunately, it is the only way to get the background and the items are no trade. I have a bunch sitting in my SDB but can't give to anyone :/
It depends how many stars and levels your characters are. The challenges vary in difficulty level. Depending on the level you are, I autoplay certain levels to farm gems and cards to either sell or level up my characters.

It is tedious, but lots of people still play and post on the L&L board on neo. I hope altador comes out soon but knowing how neopets works I'm not going to hold my breath.

From what I've seen, the avatar and trophies are awarded manually by TNT in the few days after the crossover week ends - people are attributing the delay to all the issues going on with the pandemic...not sure if that's it or not but I'd like my trophies too
