My favorite was gen 3 ruby/sapphire/emerald. I love all the starters, especially Treeko. Emerald was super cool to me because of the duplication glitch at battle frontier. Caught a shiny ralts and was duplicating it like crazy and trading stuff here and there for it.

Gold/Silver/Crystal are my favorites, close second is Emerald. Anything new I can't really get into....

My first portable was the game boy color, so I ended up playing Silver first (but not long after I bought red/yellow)

Sword and Shield are the first games of a generation I didnt buy (and probably won't)

Played red for a little while at a friend's house. But gold was the first game I owned. Put so many hours into that game. Had all but 4 pokemons then someone stole my cart and deleted my save
