pearl! i was very, very young. maybe 6 or 7 when d&p came out. i was very much a tomboy growing up (i mean, still am, i guess?) but had mainly guy friends and they were all so excited about it being released soon. so i wanted to seem cool and bought it too. i genuinely loved it, tho.

Red, and then Yellow. Wow, you are all very young!

I started with Yellow. I still miss not having a pokemon following me around that I can check up on in the new games. I feel like I was spoiled with that Pikachu.

I first played Emerald/FireRed! I remember that my Dad got one for me when I told him how badly I wanted to play it, ahaha. I was absolutely in LOVE with Mudkip and Marshtomp

Technically Pokemon Pinball hahaha. That was my first game for my Gameboy (though when I first gone mine it was already the GBC era, so technically first game for my Gameboy Color). First mainline game was Yellow

Pokemon Yellow, followed by getting my first GBC game... Pokemon Blue.

Pokemon Yellow, got it with Game Boy Color in 2000 or so. Still have the cartridge in a box in storage. Had to change the battery a number of times now. At some point I lost the screw... And then half of the damn cartridge (the front fell off). But it still works..! As long as you don't move or breathe or anything, lol. Usually when I try playing it now it's mainly to see if I can get Mew before my save corrupts. Eventually I'll figure something out for it.

I remember having a Japanese friend who had the Green version! Was so jealous but also deeply confused. I imagined all sorts of crazy unique Pokemon must be on there.

Off-topic on this but I eventually lost the Color (stolen ) and got an Advance. In 2004 I carved "2006 the world will end, Bible Code" after watching some dumb doomsday show on the History channel or something. The whole June 6th, 2006 thing, as if deities adhere specifically to the Gregorian calendar lmao. Ahh, childhood....

Oh yeah! I totally forgot about Pokemon Pinball. I still have it somewhere. I remember it's ridiculously hard to play... Didn't it have a special battery slot in the cartridge so it can 'rumble' like a real pinball game if you play it?
