I remember playing Red, when it first came out, on an emulator on my family computer. Bought a guide for it and everything! First copy I actually ever owned was Gold. Got it with my GBC which I actually still use to this day!
When I discovered emulators I downloaded all of the mystery dungeons. Explorers of time was so good. I wish gamefreak would remake some of the old mystery dungeons on the switch instead of pumping out new games with disappointing graphics
The first one I got to play on something that was not an emulator was Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs. That game was so fun I just wish Pokemon would do Ranger games again but since the Switch doesn't have a touch screen option, the whole Ranger series is gonna get trashed.
The first one I ever played was Yellow on my GameBoy Color I still have the cartridge and system <3 And I remember my first level 100 was on that game too - Zapdos!
Yellow version was my first, I still have the same cartridge after all this time.
I have gotten my niece into playing Pokemon Lets Go Eevee, super stoked to help the next generation get into Pokemon
Ah the memories: I remember when Pokemon Emerald just came out. I cried and cried for my parents to buy me a GBA for Christmas. It didn't happen, ended up saving all my pocket money without buying lunch at school for ages and finally had enough to buy it myself (after my big brother contributed for my cause too). Good times! And now, many years later, I have such a soft spot for all the GBA and N64 games and I've been in the process of collecting whatever I can in whatever condition with original boxes/instructions if possible!
Ohhhh nostalgic feels. I was about six years old as I got Pokemon Red! I remember trading with my neighbours all day, I once promised a friend of my brother (he was 10 years older) that he'd get my charizard for his blastoise and I gave him a metapod instead. He was very angry but I was a cute lil child so nothing else came from it. XD
