I couldn't figure out if this was a remake of the first movie or a direct sequel...until I saw Pikachu fighting another pikachu, this looks awesome!

I think i'm honestly have bring tissues, I always thought growing up like most kids movies were not that serious. Get old rewatch old movies find out that some them sad, my mum would always say some the pokemon movies themselves were sad/drama.

I remember crying as a kid while watching most of the last section of Mewtwo strikes back, it's overloaded with emotion! But very few other movies ever made me sad

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie! I went to a small town theater to see the original when I was a kid. They were giving out one promotional card per child with the purchase of a ticket, and I got ELECTABUZZ. Not Mewtwo, not Pikachu, not even Dragonite with a mail bag! Electabuzz. I was distraught. Apparently one of the employees noticed how upset I was. She caught up with my group before we went into the theater, and she handed me a bunch of cards that she'd taken off the pile! I was elated! That is easily one of my favorite Pok�mon-related memories.

I love Ancient Mew! We got those in the VHS case when they released the movie. I ran a tiny bit of a scam when I was a kid to get three of them. I got my aunt, my grandma and my mom to buy the movie for me. I took the cards out of the VHS cases, then hid the first two videos. I've still got those beauties as shiny as new in my old binder!

I'm not as hyped as maybe the next person because I'm.. tentative, I guess, about it being remade in CGI.
You can't really top the original animation. But, at the same time, this is still a movie I grew up with and really love.

If nothing, I'm curious as to how it'll end up looking, how faithful it is to the original, and so on and so forth.
I hope they distribute promo cards with tickets, too! I know they're distributing serial codes for an event Mewtwo for this movie over in Japan, so getting some sort of bonus like that would be a nice trip down nostalgia lane.
