Increase the rank requirement for viewing GM Scripts forum

I was thinking that it might be a good idea to raise the rank requirements for viewing the "Neopets UserScripts/TM/GM Scripts" forum.

Currently programs have protections that authors can choose when uploading their files but I believe that userscripts can be seen by anyone that joins the forum (correct me if I am wrong).

I believe that this leaves userscripts vulnerable to being patched by TNT so having a rank requirement would add some protection to the coding that script writers put their time and energy into.

It also would encourage others who join the forum to be active so that thy earn the privilege of using the scripts.

I agree with this! I was using some of the old scripts and already they appear to be patched!

Would incentivize newbies to be a lil more active.

Really good idea imo, raising it to at least cK-and-higher status would be a nice bonus incentive for people to contribute more.
edit: didn't even see the vulnerability concern, that's definitely a thing because having them being easily accessible to anyone = easier to patch on Neo proper

For what it's worth, VIP access (as far as I understand it) gets anyone access to everything.

If a TNT mole is really onboard, they probably already have VIP at least intermittently, and this wouldn't ultimately solve anything.

Some things should be for only rank up. VIP is too easy to get

I dont think this is bad idea at all. It's a good thing to limited the viewing depending of the scripts, or at least if we can have different viewership for the scripts made.
Some of the scripts are fine for public, but not all of them.

Some forums are viewable only with a specific rank regardless of VIP. The cK+ forum and the Adult forum for example.

Not a bad idea at all, at the very least it will give people more incentive to join the community rather than just leech scripts!
