Guide for Item Prices & Safe Trading on clraik

Guide for Item Prices & Safe Trading on clraik

Hey guys! I've recently been working on making this guide in order to help users:

    1. Easily establish the Neopoint price of almost any items you are likely to be buying/selling
    2. Easily establish an item's value in a number of commonly used currencies (USD, GBP, EUR)
    3. Prevent being ripped off either by selling item/s for less than their worth, or buying item/s for more than their worth

Please feel free to suggest ideas for how this guide could be improved in any form, including but not limited to suggesting better prices for any items listed (preferably in Neopoints). Thanks!

    Safe Trading Guide

Preventing Fraudulent Trades by Determining Prices:

You should use the Item Price Guide to help you to discern whether or not you are being ripped off by another user.

It should be noted that it is possible that prices given in the Item Price Guide will be inaccurate to some extent, though generally if the item/s you are selling/buying are far greater/less in value respectively in this guide than what is being offered, it is likely that you are potentially being ripped off. In such a case, or even instances where this is not the case if you so wish, you can fully ensure that your trade is fair through numerous methods, including but potentially not limited to:

    1. Using the Shop Wizard to help determine the value of item/s at the given time (for items worth 999,999 NP or less)
    2. Using the Trading Post to help determine the value of item/s at the given time
    3. Using the Trading Post History (via Jellyneo or other means) to help determine the value of item/s at the given time
    4. Asking people you know you trust on clraik or elsewhere for information on the value of item/s at the given time

Preventing Scams after establishing Item Prices:

In order to avoid being scammed, you should always use a trusted and reputable middleman (middleman subforum found (you need an account to see links)), especially for trades involving things of high value, unless you are trading with someone you are 100% certain will not scam you. Even if the person is reputable, if you are not 100% certain they will not scam you, you should always use a reputable middleman.

If a person is selling/buying items significantly below/above the value you have already accurately estimated respectively, then this should be a red flag; you should NOT go through with the trade without using a reputable middleman in such an instance.

Important Notes about the Item Price Guide

You should use this as a guide and nothing more; you should not take the values given in the below Item Price Guide to be absolute fact, especially when dealing with items of high value. They are simply estimates of their true value.

I will attempt to update the Item Price Guide frequently.

Item prices were initially obtained from Jellyneo, though some prices may be altered to be different than Jellyneo's if it is more accurate.

The standard rate of conversion is $2 per 1 million Neopoints, so all prices will reflect this.

Items under a value of 100,000 NP will not be listed to prevent the amount of items listed being absurd, and also because lower price items tend to be ones which fluctuate rapidly; both of these things in tandem would make it incredibly difficult to accurately list the values of such items here. Instead you should use other methods to find the value of items under 100,000 NP, including but not limited to searching the price of items on Jellyneo (or elsewhere) and using the listed methods given in the Safe Trading section above.

Some items will have no price and instead be marked "Unstable", in which case the prices of such items are likely to be fluctuating too much to give an accurate value. Instead you should use other methods to find the value of "Unstable" items, including but not limited to searching the price of items using a price checker from a source other than Jellyneo and using the listed methods given in the Safe Trading section above.

Some items will not be listed here despite being over a value of 100,000 NP, due to some items not being given a price on Jellyneo for at least one of many potential reasons; usually, it is because the item's price is notoriously difficult to accurately determine. Instead you should use other methods to find the value of these items which are not listed, including but not limited to searching the price of items using a price checker from a source other than Jellyneo and using the listed methods given in the Safe Trading section above.

All items beginning with a character that is a number or a letter from A-N will be included in the first post of this thread, and all items beginning with a character that is a letter from O-Z will be in the second post of this thread. This split is the result of there being too many characters in this guide to load in a single post (lol ).

Items will be listed alphabetically in each category, and each category is also sorted alphabetically (items starting with a number will also be in their own category).

Each category name (given in red) corresponds to the first character of each item in said category.

The contents of each category will be given in spoilers to prevent clutter.

Conversions from USD to GBP/EUR are done through google finance, so GBP/EUR values may be slightly inaccurate if exchange rates change during a period where I have not recently updated values. Additionally, if you do not want to use google finance exchange rates, you should ignore the GBP/EUR values here and convert the USD value to GBP/EUR using your desired exchange rate; you should also do this if you want the value for a currency other than GBP/EUR.

All Neopoint to Real Life Currency conversions are rounded to 2 decimal places.

Standard Prices per 1 million Neopoints

Please note that the values for GBP and EUR were obtained via google finanace exchange rates, as previously mentioned.

    USD ($) GBP () EUR ()
    $2.00 1.53 1.77
