This editorial is literally like the one I accidentally posted...they answered quite a few questions that definitely didn't need to be answered via the editorial.

And can they stop "answering" questions about items with typos/spelling issues in them? Just fix the item name, but pick a question that needs an answer.

Is the collection of user information without their consent against the rules of Neopets? There is an effort to collect and aggregate the data of traded pets on the Pound Chat (PC) by a group of users. As this data collection process does not obtain the consent of those users who are unaware that in posting on the PC their information is being gathered, does this project contravene not only the rules of Neopets, but a general standard of intra-user goodwill? Please advise on this situation, as it is very serious and concerning to many who frequent the PC. If you publish this question, please remove my username. Thank you. ~~anonymous
This could be a serious issue and although the intentions on this page are probably good, it could cause some members stress as well. So, if someone does not want to be listed there or have their pet listed there they should be able to write to the petpage owner and ask to have that removed.

Hello dear neostaff! In early March 2009, you released an item called Springtime Fyora Paper Doll Set. I noticed when it came out that there was a typo in the item description - the item description reads "Dress up Fyora with this sprintime paper doll set." It should presumably read Springtime. Hi TNT, thank you for the sunflower kau set, its so cute! Can you please, please, PLEASE rezone the Sunflower Kau Hat so its in collar or necklace or anything not in hat though? Glad to see someone spoke up about ottoshift's data collection and that TNT actually responded to it in a timely manner, but I really wish their answer was more solid along the lines of "there is a big difference between opt-in and opt-out data collection and any users hoping to collect + publish such data should be required to ask listed users to OPT-IN first, rather than putting the onus on someone listed to be removed after noticing their name" >_>

What a piss poor answer to the trades database problem. I wish they had answered 'No, you cannot stalk users and hoard their data like a maniac, then post it on a petpage for everyone to see. Stop.' so they would knock it off already.

I think what upsets me the most about the list is that if it was filled with RW/Ns instead of UCs, then people's NMs would be f l o o d e d due to how people are highly seeking common RW/Ns. I imagine some UCs are highly sought after now, so it's still the same effect. No one should be bombarded with mails due to someone giving my pet's name out on some random board.

I agree with @(you need an account to see links) in saying that I shouldn't have to ask to be removed from a list that:

1. I probably didn't even know exist
2. I didn't even give PERMISSION to be apart of

So they're scot free so long as I don't ask to be taken off the list? Yeah, ok, someone make it make sense. Otto's idea wasn't even unique or innovative, it's just a trading petpage essentially without the petpage nor permission. If you want to make an UFT database that bad then ask people to join it. Don't assume we want to be apart of your idea.
