I loved Germany and Austria but I would have to agree that Scandanavia would be the most in line with me. I'd just have to invest in a very warm long, down jacket.
I would move to New Zealand if it wasn't so far away. I've met quite a few Kiwi's over the years because of the work I do and I love their attitude and sense of humor. Plus, New Zealand is supposed to be a great place quality of living wise.
I just returned from my trip to Ukraine. It was great journey. Ukrainian cuisine is so delicious! I found new friends in Kiev and I will definitely come back again next year.
New Zealand, for many reasons. 1. it is a primarily english speaking country. 2. the climate is incredible. 3. it is an island, so the beach is everywhere. 4. the wildlife there is surprisingly tame, considering australia is its sister region. 5. i prefer its political climate over the USA. 7. it has lots and lots of cows.
i love iceland as well, but i don't have time to learn the icelandic language. plus, the summers don't get warm enough to swim in the ocean.
California is not the place to be >_> overcrowded, traffic is awful, rising housing market...
I'd probably want to move to live in Singapore, Hong Kong, and/or Japan.
Ideally Japan, but the bad rep I've been hearing about how restrictive/close-minded/conservative a society it is takes a lot of points away even though I adore many other aspects of it. Realistically I'd probably pick Sweden or Switzerland, they have the most government support and I hear they'd be great places to retire to once you're ready to live out the rest of your days peacefully.
surprised, but happy to see so many people wanting to move to canada! come join us in the freezing cold, we're very friendly.
but if i could move anywhere i would move back to italy, specifically naples. the food is stellar and living with so much history that i'm familiar with is thrilling
