Beginning with Altador Cup XII TNT introduced a new method of marking accounts to deter cheating. Rather than freezing accounts suspected of cheating, those accounts suspicious of cheating are "flagged for review"

In order to check if your account is flagged, visit the rank calculator at the (you need an account to see links) main page by clicking here:ADDITIONAL AC NEWS: In an attempt to keep this year’s competition as clean as possible, TNT has been closely monitoring gameplay, which has resulted in certain accounts being put under review. The accounts in question, which were flagged for suspicious activity will not be able to actively rank up in our efforts to keep the competition fair. If you are experiencing this first hand, please understand that it is not a glitch. However, if you feel that you’ve been wrongly affected by this, you are more than welcome to write into our team for further clarification. Thank you!

A new window pops up that displays how many games you need to play to reach the next rank. Make a note of it and play a qualifying game. If the game counter does not decrease, then your account is flagged.
If your account is flagged then you can submit a ticket by emailing (you need an account to see links) if you feel that you shouldn't be flagged, or keep trying to send game scores later on to see if the counter will start decreasing again.
There were no reports last year that people who were flagged for the entire tournament ever got frozen. I was flagged on a few accounts and none of them were frozen. Your rank stays the same throughout the tournament and you earn whatever prize points you gained up until the moment you were flagged.
It is prudent to add to this though, that the vast majority of 'flaggings' that people are having at the moment aren't. It's the known issue with the AC SSer registering scores, but the rank not updating from them. Knowing the difference before you submit a ticket would be a good idea.
