1st time in my life i'm not feeling it.
I was pretty consumed with work this year, though. It usually hits me december 1st.

I think it's just you Maybe it has something to do with all the sentences you have to write ;p
Birthdays mean nothing to me, it is just another day. I have never been one to celebrate or enjoy celebrating birthdays to begin with so that is probably why I keep thinking of them as "meh just another year".
Christmas though I am often just not into it. I am not very social so family interaction is not a must and I do keep it at a minimum. And being older now nothing lights me up like it used to as a kid, as adults you just come to accept that things are really not all that entertaining. The only thing I always enjoy about Christmas is the atmosphere, the lights on the Christmas tree, the decorations around the house, the lights on the house...and the food. Really like the food.
Yup, I don't ever even get excited for Christmas anymore.
Yeah, what Sci_girl said; the atmosphere makes a huge difference too. Christmas lights remind me that it is christmas and not another winter day. After the new years/ january I want summer back.
I've been scrubbing down a Olympic size swimming pool and the deck with acid for my Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. You better feel the spirit because my eyes are burning... Damn family business.
Celebrate my portion!
I'm used as cheap manual labor... Sigh.
I'm not exactly getting paid, just helping my dad out. If I were to be paid, it should be 20$ an hour. I have to re-grout the floor. Not the first time I've done this but it's hell for your hands and your knees.
I too, am not feeling the holiday spirit that much.
I didn't even realize that Christmas was less than a week away after I finished finals lmao.
