Yay! I love it when I introduce somebody to a new band that they like

Distorted Harmony is pretty cool! Their first two albums are pretty much prog rock with some light metal elements (longer songs, more elaborate structures). A bit like early Haken.



and their latest album, A Way Out (this song is from that album) is closer to prog metal with shorter tighter songs. So it depends on what sounds more exciting to you!



Opeth is on my list, but I still haven't really delved into them yet. I gotta get on that! This is great (you need an account to see links)

I'm not familiar with Erra! They remind me a bit of Periphery (how they're bouncing back and forth between clean and harsh vocals). I'm listening to Augment now (which RateYourMusic says is their best album) (you need an account to see links)

PS - There's a brief part in this song, Alpha Seed, with a harp! That was sweeeeeeet

That whole Opeth album is great too (Ghost Reveries). My favs are Harlequin Forest, Ghost of Perdition, Beneath the Mire & Baying of the Hounds. The songs form a story, I love it when an artist does that.
