You should just be able to save the file as a PDF and attach it directly into the email. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, @(you need an account to see links)?
Okay, sorry in advance if this is posted in the wrong section
So... I'm pretty computer literate but I can't figure this one out so sending it out to all you other computer people I'm sure someone will know.
I need to send a PDF file embedded in an email. How is this best done? It has links, words and pictures. I don't want to convert the file to jpeg as it has links. My aim is that the recipient opens the email and the file is open as the email (not an attachment). Ta.
Also, not sure if it helps, but the program I created the document in can also give me a 'html code' for emails - but when I send the email it just sends the code written out, lol.

I think Google will lead to better instructions...
It depends what e-mail service you're using, but all should give the option to "attach" and then just send once it's uploaded.

Pretty much your only bet afaik is do do it as an attachment. If not as an attachment it would be to copy out the text. Afterwards you can highlight the respective text and make it into a hyperlink. Depending how formal you might be able to simply upload the .pdf on somewhere like Google Docs or Dropbox and give the link to it.

Yes I don't want to have it as an attachment. It's for older people so I just want it 'appearing' when they open the email. Mailchimp does this (you have to make a 'campaign' but I was hoping there was an easier way ...
IMHO, hyperlinking would be the way to go since you don't want to do attachments. Whatever you decide best of luck.

Not really sure everyone else understands what you're asking, but I think I do.
It depends what mail provider and what mail client the recipient is using. For example, for my private email server, nothing opens without being opened as an attachment, no matter what device I'm on. For my .edu address, it depends what device I'm on, some devices PDFs appear as attachments, sometimes they appear opened already.
Perhaps it'd be easiest to just explain in the email how to open the attachment

@(you need an account to see links) - the body of an email is HTML. You can't embed a PDF file inline. You can do this with images because HTML can display images just fine. As some people in this thread have said, "it depends on your email provider"... In this case, your email provider is auto-opening or previewing the PDF file that is sent as an attachment.
PDF files can have had plenty of (you need an account to see links) in the past and thus the best way would be to send this as an attachment.
Your best bet to display it inline is to open the PDF file, Select All -> Copy (CTRL+A->CTRL+C), and then paste into an email. You can use HTML to make the email look like the PDF.
