Guitar progress on Metallica: Hardwired

Figured I'd give a weekly kinda progress as I slowly learn how to play this song.

Day 1:
Yea, it's rough as it gets. Deal with it kids. I still don't know most of the transitions, or how many times things repeat.

Day 3:
I suck at solos, for some reason the guitar I was using today didn't want to pick up bends for some reason. My pick graveyard is growing including the one I've been using to practice so far on this song. That was in the middle of recording 3 minutes prior to this. Excuses are the best.

Day 4/5 I Lost track and am too lazy to count.
My fingers hurt. I switched over to my dads super nice electric guitar and it was a ton easier to do the solo on. Handful of glaring mistakes to me, but I'm not expecting anyone regular to notice.
