You should all be regularly changing your account PW's, regardless!

I'm guessing they just scanned every account and whichever user did not have a changed PW in X days got this mail.

FB and reddit both confirmed it wasn't this. A few people had changed their passwords the month/week/day before and still got it. They're still trying to figure out why only some people got it. *shrug*
It's better than the weirdos freaking out thinking it's a fake account from TNT. lol

I don't know what happened here but IF there was another breach, I wouldn't be surprised. I feel like playing neopets is a lottery on whether your stuff will be where you left it from day to day.

I wouldn't doubt it's based on a neomail that a user got from their own Side Account which was compromised.

Someone from CK neomailed their main, telling them to change their PW and check CK for security tips...

There are for certain people claiming there was another data base breach and that a particular user has some vendetta against cheaters. The funny thing about it all, is that this 'person' has no way of actually knowing who all the cheaters are. Idk it sounds like a load of bs to me - except for a few targeted people. BUT I do think that the people that were neomailed might have been apart of the 700+ accounts. There was certainly a reason behind TNT neomailing certain people and not others.

Haha I know of one person with a vendetta against one of my friends (who I don't believe actually cheats). He was RELENTLESS in getting users to mass report him.
