Sooo I went out to see Rogue One on Thursday night, and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Yes there's complaints, but overall it wasn't such horrible movie like some make it out to be.
I'd like to make this post to fully discuss the movie, mythology and such. (big SW nerd lol)
Be aware that there will be SPOILERS if you haven't already seen the movie. Or really any Star Wars movie for that matter..
I haven't gone to seen the movie yet, as I'm not a Star Wars fan in particular, but my mom really wants to go see it so I'll probably go with her. It looks kind of interesting, at least.
I honestly thought it was pretty so-so? And also unnecessary, even if it was based off an actual Star Wars story. It was pretty clunky, and just...an overall meh. The Force Awakens was better imo, haha.
i really enjoyed it. was it flawed? yeah. the pacing was weird, and i feel like they introduced a lot of cool characters that we didn't get to know well enough, so when they died it didn't leave as much of an impact. cgi peter cushing was also pretty distracting. perhaps this is an unpopular opinion but i really liked how it wasn't centered around the jedi or the force, not because i don't like them, but because we've seen so much of it that the lore surrounding them has contradicted itself over and over. overall it was a solid movie, especially for a spin off, and i'd give it a 6.5/10.
