There are ways to actually enter an older date, try pressing F12 in your browser, inspect element and manually put the year.

@(you need an account to see links) If you have trouble, try googling "how to change value with developer tools" or "how to change data with developer tools"
F12 brings up something called "Developer Tools" for your browser (IE, FF, Chrome, etc.)
If you still have trouble, maybe try something like an addon called Tamper Data for FireFox?
