I still have a few beads from long ago. Not worth it though.

The one bitch from way back when, I remember trying to buy from her and basically wouldn't talk to you if you did not overpay, hoarded the Neopets mobile referral page to get a pile of beads. And still charges 50 mil or something per bead lol

It was worth it for me since I got all the beads for free for some reason and still got some spares.
But little n00b me traded some of 'em for a Dwoobaphone like 8 years ago

I never fully understood it to be honest and for that reason I never took the time to collect the beads for my accounts

I collected them on my previous main account and they were worth it. It increased my random events and I also got more nps when sending game scores And also when I used to upgrade my shop sometimes it upgraded to 2 or 3 times more.

You can't even really show it off though, only you can see your talisman. Red beads will give you a discount in neopian shops, green beads increase the neopoints you receive from sending scores in games... and blue/yellow effects are still unknown. Regarding if it's worth it or not... that really depends on how often you send in game scores or buy from neopain shops (basically ymmv). And you have to take in account how expensive the beads are now, as it'd take a long time to break even and start turning a profit from your investment.
