    1 Billion Yahoo Accounts Compromised

[ (you need an account to see links) ]
According to Yahoo, they said that up to 1 billion accounts could have been compromised in 2013.
They had already had 500 million accounts hacked before.

"In both attacks, the stolen information included names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdates and security questions and answers. The company says it believes bank-account information and payment-card data were not affected."

If you're a Yahoo user, you should definitely update your info... Or switch to a more secure email lol

    People can't guess mine.
Good thing I never use that as one of my security questions, lol. I'd get hacked quickly.

I choose my first soul mate kitteh that i bonded with when I was a kid, he has a pretty unique way of spelling his name. Hell the first cat I named when I was 8 I spelled her name Katchzken and my current kitteh is Cu as in Copper

Yahoo has been hacked so many times, they just usually don't release it to the press. Also what are people giving yahoo their financial information for? A free email service and a sub-par search engine has no need for your bank account information... People just set themselves up now days.

Used to do simple yahoo cracking with pw lists way back when. Yahoo is the easiest to crack imo. Switch providers people.

Oh hey look I got an email on one of my junk emails:

"The stolen user account information may have included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth,
hashed passwords (using MD5) and, in some cases, encrypted or unencrypted security questions and answers."

So many security breaches, yet they're still using MD5 encryption? SMH... Truly only use yahoo for your junk/spam emails.

The part that's bullshit is that the first breach wasn't made public to their users for like 2-3 years. They sent an email saying that I should urgently change my info because they were compromised in like 2013 for the first time. This is bullshjt because if that had proper security practices in place, they would have been getting alerts with regards to somebody trying to mess with the network. They would have at least noticed 500,000,000 accounts being moved off of their network...
I haven't read much on this most recent one. Apparently they are separate incidents but they were probably possible because of the same vulnerabilities. Way to drop the ball yahoo.
    What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left
