For me, it's a distraction from shit going on in real life that I don't feel like dealing with. And nostalgia. Really wish I COULD quit, but haven't been able to in over a decade of playing.

I usually quit for maybe the most 6 months, but I'm not sure why I always eventually type in the website and play again.
