Yes, there's some really magical when you start playing Neopets. Then you realize everything you're doing isn't efficient, but then by becoming efficient, the game can easily turns into a grind.
Just imagine if some of the games were better balanced. As he pointed out, he got ~500np playing Petpet Catch for 5 seconds, but nearly nothing for playing the games he actually seemed to enjoy. It's really hard to enjoy that part of Neopets when now you can just stick money in the stock market, not play, then come back and have made more money by doing nothing.

Actually I think it's good timing. Better for them to think they're getting more page views for an event - even a shitty event like GMC - than just randomly out of thin air. Might make them prioretize more events.
