How are you celebrating this year?
Personally, I'm going to be having a very sophisticated Cracker Barrel Thanksgiving for one bc my family is a bunch of foodies and they always have weird fancy shit(mostly meat and I don't eat meat) on Thanksgiving and so I end up watching them eat and it sucks. One year they had lobster and another year they had veel and fuck that shit. I want some green beans drowned in butter and fake mashed potatoes served redneck style with more gravey than potatoes. I'm half redneck(Louisiana subspecies) and I tend to take after them more when it comes to food.
(you need an account to see links)
I will be eating with my foodie family but with my own food. They can have some if they want, idc. I ordered LOTS!!!!
So tell me about your crazy uncle who talks about aliens and lizard people at the table every year and your great aunt Ester who practically bathes in perfume and wears a wig.
This is 'Murica, and in 'Murica, we take our thanksgiving very seriously. It's the biggest travel time of the year. Bigger than goddamn christmas.

That Cracker Barrel spread looks dope!!!
I like all the food we have at my family gatherings (we're Italian, so it's lasagna and meatballs for daaaays) - it's probably my favorite holiday (any excuse to be a glutton, amiright).
However, recently I've had to unfriend and unfollow a lot of my family members on the good ol' book of faces which I know some of them will bring up - so it should be an interesting few hours to say the least. Hopefully my brother and I will be able to find a secluded spot to gorge in peace. Or maybe everyone will be so busy stuffing their faces, they're won't be much time for arguing.
My grandfather will be sure to ask me about something new he bought at Aldi and quiz my brother about the pizza business (I haven't worked at Aldi in 5 years, and he hasn't worked in the pizza shop for about the same).
Gotta love crazy families. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Lobster and veal? Lordy I want that as a Thanksgiving meal.
I'm cooking at my home for the first time. My parents whom are divorced and are very mouthy people are both coming.
Plus My In-laws that we have to hit up that evening tend to indulged in some alcohol..My MIL loves to talk about Conspiracy Theories and Politics..
My Mother spends more time talking about her Pomeranian and dream of owning another horse more so than anything else. My Dad tends to brag about his purchases and my in-laws are pretty much parenting my SILs child since she can't seem to adult. (Love my niece though, she's adorable)
Party time!![]()
I have a flight booked so whatever food they give me on the plane is my Thanksgiving meal lmao. My family is like yours we usually hire a chef to come cook for us and its usually lobster, prawns, prime rib, turkey, roast, mash, ham, stuffing
My mom cooks. It's just my intermediate family so it's just a pretty chill day of being a glutton. I've worked the past couple of Thanksgivings which sucks but c'est la vie. (I work from home so I shouldn't complain).
We don't have a plan yet except keeping it to my parents/brother (at one point had plans to travel to meet oldest brother/in-laws, but we want to keep things simple). My mom makes really good sweet potato slices (idk the word?), so I guess I'm looking forward to that. Mostly I'm just looking forward to hanging out with everybody, particularly my brother who I haven't been able to see much the past couple of years.
Sounds good, guys!! It's just my parents and I. (And Demon Cat.)
Traveling for thanksgiving doesn't seem worth it. Plus, idk how to adult.
